The Haven Language Program (HLP) is designed to help refugees improve their English (and soon, French) as quickly as possible The program is online, and continues for 20 weeks. Each week, you will spend 6 hours learning through three ways: classes with professional teachers, conversations with Canadian volunteers, and individual homework.&#xA0;The Haven Language Program includes:&#xA0;<ul><li dir="ltr" style="text-decoration:none;">Classes with teachers: Private and small-group (maximum &#xA0;4 students) online classes with professional ESL teachers.</li><li dir="ltr" style="text-decoration:none;">Practice with Canadians: Meet Canadian volunteers for 30-minute online or in-person conversations! A great way to gain confidence speaking with native speakers.</li><li dir="ltr" style="text-decoration:none;">Individual Learning: Your teacher will assign personalized exercises, so you can keep practicing at your own pace. Daily practice is key to learning a new language.</li></ul>
